Great food and great people! The BBQ is excellent and the pies are better! The staff were friendly and very helpful. The homemade coconut pie was excellent. Wow!! Can't believe this place isn't rated higher!

Fantastic pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw! Had to take home a bottle of the original sauce. Yummy smokey spicy layers of flavor. Friendly and helpful stmosphere. New owner since 2013. Doing a great job with original recipe meat cooked slow and juicy.

I've lived in Central AR for 10 years, and have passed Chip's Barbecue many, many times. It always seemed I planned to try Chip's at inconvenient times (such as Mondays and/or after 7pm, both times when they are closed.) Recently, I happened to be in the area for lunch, and saw a perfect opportunity to try Chip's out. The place was packed with regulars, and the service was fast and friendly. My husband and I both opted for chicken nachos. All menu items were a bit pricey...especially for the portion size. For instance, although the nachos were flavorful, they hardly had any chicken at all. We left feeling a little ripped off. All in all, Chip's has been around FOREVER. They seem to have a good following, and decent food. I didn't try the pie (although I hear it is amazing!) - once again, a tad pricey at $4.50 or so a slice. But they are worth a try if you can get past the prices.

Was disappointed that the meat was so full of fat. While I understand there is fat in this type of food, it was just plain disgusting. I threw most of it away. I had been here years before and had a terrific experience. This time, it was awful. The quality of the food was poor. Others at the table commented about how dry and tasteless their burgers were (interesting because mine was so fatty). I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Very overpriced for the quality of what was served.

Pork sandwich platter was tasty and the right size and price. The coconut cream pie, large slice, included - excellent!

"The Old Grey Mare, she ain't what she use to be!" The last two times I've eaten at Chip's, I have been sadly under whelmed. Once known for their terrific BBQ Turkey sandwich, I had that disappointment on my last visit. Today, it was the BBQ Chicken sandwich that fell short. What struck me as curious, was the overly pronounced flavor of extremely tangy mustard used in the sauce on this sandwich. Wow! By the way, that was not a good "wow," but rather one of incredulity. They use mustard in their BBQ sauce? The sauce had no balance and did not compliment the sandwich, whatsoever. In fact, it was terrible! Although friendly, service is slow...almost comatose. Ironically, at 48-years old, I was much younger than Chip's other patrons. Bottom line, Chip's Barbecue is flat. The food is flat and uninspired. Service is flat and unenthusiastic. The restaurant has no energy, savory flavor or excitement about it, whatsoever. Chip's gets a big ole "MEH!"
